Significant Achievements

• Instrumental in accomplishing below significant tasks being the office bearer in AIOCD & TNCDE which has 9 Lakhs & 40 Thousand members respectively.
  • Between 2015 – 2020, to safe guard the interests of Retail Medical shop owners, held demonstrations & protests 5 times across the State and highlighted the demands to Central & State Governments.
  • Initiated the Legal battle against the online medicine sales by Big Corporate companies which is impacting small retailers and obtained Stay order from High court on 17-Feb-2018.
  • During COVID-19 period, while the transportation across the entire country had been suspended, significant efforts were taken and necessary approvals were received on time from Central & State Govt. in the interest of public and ensured the medicines were reaching across the state.
  • During COVID-19 pandemic, to help the poor and needy people, contributed Medical equipment’s and Medicines worth 25 Lakhs on behalf of TNCDE to Stanley Medical College. To further ease the situation, TNCDE contributed 25 Lakhs as relief fund to TN CM on 19-May-2021
  • The Board of C.L.Baid Metha College of Pharmacy belonging to TNCDE Trust was reconstituted on 08-Aug-2020 and since then serving inline with the interest of TNCDA members.
  • Legal Support provided to Small Retailers who are subjected to Legal action for mistakes due to their ignorance.

Political Journey

• K K Selvan’s public life began early at the age of 19 years in 1991 during the State Assembly elections and despite his young age actively participated in election campaigns.
• During 2011 and 2016 State Assembly elections, along with his family & friends led a fiery campaign in support of Thiru.K.A.Sengottaiyan and reached out to 70% of the Gobichettipalayam constituency voters and ensured impeccable victory inspite of Intelligence report stating that the candidate will get defeated.
• He was instrumental in framing the campaign plan for Thiru. K.A.Sengottaiyan and nominated right booth agents ensuring the victory.
• Inspired by the leadership of Cheif Minister Thiru M.K.Stalin and influenced by the Dravidian ideology, K K Selvan formally joined DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) in the month of Sep 2020
• Acknowledging his hard work and dedication, DMK Chief Thiru. M.K.Stalin appointed him as Organizer, DMK Environmental Wing , Erode (North)
• In 2023, he is appointed as Member to the Tamilnadu Traders Welfare Board(TNTWB) headed by Chief Minister of Tamilnadu.
